Is Jailbreaking Illegal?

Is Jailbreaking Illegal?  The term “jailbreak” does not sound so legal and has a quite nasty ring to it. It is for this reason that one of the first things that people ask when they hear about Cydia and jailbreaking would be: Is Jailbreaking illegal?

The short answer to that is no, you won’t get arrested, fined or go to jail for having, using or creating a jailbroken iDevice. I will list some evidence to this statement within links at the bottom of this article with will lead you to the apple website and show you there exact stance on the subject.

The main downfall is that it is against apples terms and conditions and voids and kind of customer support or warranty that you iPod, iPhone, iPad or Apple Tv device may have. However there is no law against it.
